At Direct Sounds, our mission is simple: to create unforgettable events with personalised DJ experiences. Whether it's a wedding, birthday, corporate event, or private party, we ensure every event is stress-free, fun, and tailored to your vision. With over 20 years of experience, we specialise in multi-genre music, bespoke lighting, and custom DJ packages that provide incredible entertainment and great value for money.

Our Story

Founded in 2003, Direct Sounds began when Dalbir Soor was asked to DJ a charity fundraiser. With minimal equipment but a passion for music, the event was a success. Our unique blend of Bollywood, Bhangra, and mainstream dance music set us apart, and word quickly spread.

Over the years, we've grown from humble beginnings to hosting and organising over 300 club events, including a six-year residency at Spice Bar, Leeds. Alongside DJing, we’ve worked in sound system installations and audio setups, giving us extensive expertise in both music performance and technical sound solutions.

In 2014, co-founder Sukhjit Matharoo took full control of the business, bringing his passion for music and technical expertise to elevate Direct Sounds into one of the most trusted DJ services in Leeds and beyond.
